Which is the best social sharing widget?

I have tried Tell-a-friend, addthis and sharethis, but they do not add a lot of value (infact they badly impact the site loading speed).Site visitors (we are an ecommerce site) still do not understand how to use these widgets.

Any recommendations on how to make them simpler/easy to understand?
